	Welcome


	The Foundation’s aim is simple: to give a special welcome to the families of children with special needs and provide unique, supervised and vital day care and respite with support for parents and carers in a carefree environment where there are no sneers or stares.


	The Foundation’s Hop, Skip & Jump centres support children with physical, learning, emotional and environmental disabilities along with their siblings. We are able to give these children the opportunity to build confidence, social skills and self esteem, whilst offering parents a place to come and be with the rest of the family, talk to other parents, or a chance to have a well earned break.

	Swindon Centre gets go-ahead!

Lord St Aldwyn, who has resigned from Patron in order to become our Chairman, has recently returned from taking part in the Biscay Challenge and has so far raised an amazing £4,700 for us, but is aiming for £5,000 so go to www.justgiving.com/michaelstaldwyn today and help him to reach his target.

	Volunteers

	Volunteers are always needed to help the work of Hop, Skip & Jump and the Severn Springs Foundation. If you have some time please consider us - your time would help make a big difference to the families that we work with.

We have an answer for those parents and carers who are at breaking point. The charity’s aim is to provide day respite care and support for their families for children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses or any special need. Founded in 1982 the two “Hop Skip & Jump Centres” now provide placement for 31,000 people each year from the Midlands and South West England. The need for such respite is so great that we get requests from all over the country. Each centre costs just over £180,000 a year to run, and as we have very little State funding, the Foundation relies on the support of charitable trusts, corporate donors and generous individuals.
